Did you know, that the beach would have been much wider with a tsunami wave comming, the water pulls back into the ocean and then comes back as a giant wave

Yes, that's absolutely correct. But it would mean something like a 3000px wide image! And not such 'imminent' drama. I opted for artistic license.

I used a photo of a wave. The "haze" effect is from that photo. The blurred bits in the foreground are textures from the source. The only 'fake' bit is the clouds, which I did with PS.
