Pretty idea. That texture is a good idea but the edges of the trunks are to sharp and smooth. Rough them up a bit to match the texture.

Like the image. My2cents: reducing the light on the parts of the trunks where it don't reaches. Would increase the lightning and realism. Anyway nice overall image.
