Good idea mark, I agree with Rey about the sand texture. I was thinking just a little sand colored noise?

Cute idea, That plastic wrap thing always kills it. It makes the castle not look like sand. Is it just me or does this castle look like it's levitating. (I'm being serious}

If you create a brush that is about one or two pixels wide, turn the scatter all the way up. Sample a dark color from the sand and a light color and make those your foreground and background colors. In the brush menu set the colors to switch
ReyRey ReyRey
from background to foreground back and forth. move the hue, contrast, and vibrance sliders very slightly. This will create a nice sand brush. Under the scatter also move the slider up that says amount. Now loosely go over your castle. it will give it

menu move the amount slider up a bit. Now brush over your castle loosely. this will give it more of a matching sand look. Sorry I am not on a computer with PS on it or I would do a better description.

the plastic wrap is only in the water in the castle, not on the castle, I think in the conversion the light parts of the container and texture of it have made it look like mild plastic wrap is on it, I will have a fiddle. Cheers Rey.

I love the work on the castle, but a couple things really ruin it for me. #1: The resolution difference between the sandcastle and beach realllly hurts it. #2: There is a slight hue difference. The beach sand lacks some of the yellow of the castle.

Isn't it a bit too .. polished? The castle i mean. There is something, not sure exactly what, the blur or the shade of the castle sand that ruins a bit the integration... Maybe I'm wrong, pls don't mind my comment.

no your right, had issues with the sheen the cardboard was giving off, adjusted it a couple of time, but still not happy, cheers Ste & Bog
