Kinda... but the turtle is closer and therefore would retain it's color saturation whereas th shark, at a greateter distance, would be less contrasting in an actual underwater shot. The source image also has asome cyan-blue coloration from the start.

the source and your external is different photos if you want to mix them you got to adjust the one or the other. Your point would be right if the turtle was way closer to the camera and shark far.
