_be yes, this was likely taken with a film camera. the film grain effect in PS simulates (fractal), grains of the silver oxide crystals on film. The iso speed is determined by the size of the crystals. higher iso means larger crystals, & more of them too.

suffice to say that the source was taken with a digital camera - so, the variance of the crystals is not present.
