IMPO the earth should be a bit less saturated to make it seem like theres some sort of glass or barrier between the alien and the outside... but it is an alien space craft so they must have awesome windows!

catually Sean I do have a "glass" frame between the earth and the inside of the ship on my PSD... I checked it out at various opacity levels and decided on a quite transparent window.The earth is so beautiful from way out here in space...
