This is a good first attempt--especially with a tough angle. This tilt shift stuff is relatively easy with line of view planes at groun level: foreground blur, next plane sharp, background blur.

@ papavales...thanks for the input, maybe you are right,it´s my first attempt at one of these and I may have overdone the blur, here´s an upd with less blur, comments welcome,I´d like to get this as good as possible

thanks Bob...sure you didn´t miss any ;)

the blur is what gives the effect of miniaturization. Look up Tilt Lens photography which can be also be done with PS. See CS 6 Blur filter options

thanks Seamus,I know about tilt lens effect, this is what I´m trying to reproduce here, but I have to agree with papavales I think in this particular case too much blur tends to overdo the effect and make it a little artificial so I lessened the blur area

yeap, nice update :-)

Make that "ground level". Looking down at roughly a 45 degree angle the ground level planes make no sense. The foreground plane is air, and the background is underground or underwater! So there are transition areas were the blurs are gradual.

I looked at this earlier today, but I can't remember if the blurr was more or less than the current version. It looks about right. Maybe a bit more blur in the background/upper transition? Nah, don't change it. It works as is. :)

@ Ted that was my problem with this ,the inclining angle. It made it more difficult to achieve the illusion of minitureism (if that is a word). So I lessened the blur area and threw in some real toy boats and people....thanks for your input :)
