Thanks for all the votes, this post was unplanned, except for the Father Time look. So when I blended the sky and foreground horizon with the smudge tool and I whipped the wave up, it took on a life all it's own...kinda what Patre said.....

Why palm trees? It could mean many things, the water reclaiming the land or maybe there is an island back there, or maybe it's just because it looks so cool. It wouldn't be the same piece at all without them imo.
