Children crying in the streets
Babies having babies of their own
Filled with pain and fear
They fight for life alone
Their trip has been a long one
Their lives filled with grief
They wonder if they'll ever
Be able to make ends meet
A house to raise their kids in
Or even a meal every night
I often think of their hardships
How none of it seems right
So thank God each day
