Building Bowling Balls
Building Bowling Balls
I built the balls from scratch, using the crystals image. I created reflections, lighting and holes. Notice reflections of the balls on the other balls and the reflection of the grill on the balls.

I really like the strong foreground and the way you blended the colors with the source bowling balls.

They're too shiny for bowling balls (aren't they)? See rey now you've got me bitching about the smallest of details. That's all you leave for us to complain about. Great "tut-in-ten-seconds" forum post by the way. :-)

I like how you completely obliterated the source to point that it wouldn't matter what it was..it could have been a monkey on a pogo stick...wouldn't matter...you just said "I want BALLS, DAMMIT!!! BALLS!! I say well done, sir.

Patre, I did not use source bowling balls. I created these completely. Shape, reflections, holes, highlights, everything. I did it all. There were balls in this image but I just covered them up. I'll send you a layered file if you want to see.

Hey Tofu, I like my balls shiny!!! :0) Besides, they are brand new. I just made them. They have never hit the ground.
Goat1981 Goat1981
Tofu, bowling balls can be very shiny -- some bowlers polish them highly so they produce less friction on the lane and have a more controlled hook / reaction.

yeah tofu, some bowlers grab there balls and buff them till they can't see anymore ;oD this is great Rey, wish I had spotted before I used my last few votes, really good technique used here, look at that beautiful result, wooo
