The Convent Hall comp was a fun one for me to watch and participate in. It felt like PSC's old times because I had people giving me comments that helped me improve my chop.
It's funny because I updated the ball last night on the insight from Couch. At that point I was in 2nd place and I knew that the update would knock me out of the spot. But it was totally worth not placing if it meant that my chop improved.
My entry was inspired by
YerPalAl's cockpit-to-fender chop. (Although Al's execution of the fender is much better than my pool table). The part that kept bugging me was the corner. I know that pool tables don't have high corners. But I felt if I took it out it would obfuscate the source. Plus I couldn't think of a good way to incorporate the light. That is until just now when I realized I should have made a bar light out of it and hidden the fracking corner.
Oh and how great was it to have blue_lurker chop in a contest again?!
