funny...generally good work but WHY the difference in shadow densities ?! The shadows from the head and feet should be almost the same colour/density as that cast by the bird.

that's an improvement mir, one that merits my vote, however, like gran said, there is no need to fade them, as the bird does not fade, this is one of those instances where they would not.

I've read all the comments/suggestions about the shadow work... shouldn't the feet shadows follow the direction of the head and bird? Being that is a shadow of the sun and not a closer light source.

it's a nice idea, but you've got to get the shadows right. The bird shadow from the original is very dark; the man's head and feet shadows should match that exactly.

Also, try setting your shadows layer to multiply blending mode and they should look much more realistic :)

hi dude...just noticed you amended the shadows...it looks much better...just the angle of the feet shadows are a bit off.
