Tracy,this little guy is an aphid and some aphids secrete honeydew that ants feed on.David here has secreted himself (hehe) in an aphid secretion chamber where the ants will come and harvest it. :·)

I'm not seeing the chamber. I perceived it as some sort of heat light coming from the top which kind of looks like a heat burner.

LOL...the heater above primes him up to secrete into the honeydew gathering chamber below (I made that part up) normally the ants suck it right out of their honeydew tube,hehehe...honeydew wikilink: en.wikipedia.org...
